Clothes Pins

Identity Design, UI/UX

The goal of this project was to create a unique brand identity for an app, learning and executing the full process of user interface design. I created a fashion app targeted at teens and young adults. The site will allow people to post pictures of their outfits and link to where they got the pieces. They will also be able to tag the type of clothes being worn, so that people can find more of what they like as well as weed out what they don’t.

❋ User Journey Map

This user journey map is a simplified version of the site mapping. It follows the specific aim of opening the app, logging in, and uploading a photo to your page.

❋ Style Guide

When creating a style guide, I aimed for a very sophisticated and limited palette. I wanted the information to have a clear hierarchy with familiar icons and buttons, so that the user can easily navigate the app.

Mid-Fi Prototypes

I then drafted my pages with a bit of color to help test the feel and flow of the interactions. The goal of this step was to see if the layout and interface was intuitive without the added distractions of images.

Hi-Fi Prototypes

Lastly, I inserted the images and made some changes to the layout, focusing on the size of the text and icons (specifically in the navigation bar). These little changes really helped clean up the design and make everything feel more professional.
