Department of Public Works
Identity Design, Layout Design, Illustration, Data Visualization
The Department of Public Works (DPW) for Cambridge manages the city's infrastructure and maintenance, but this can't always be done alone. In an attempt to promote resident participation for seasonal maintenance, Public Works created the Storm Steward Program. This group helps take care of the city's drains and streets through volunteer services.
When creating the visual imagery for this project, I followed the style guide of the city and created a unique visual identity for the brand. I collaborated with the Communications Team over at DPW to create a logo/visual marker. This points to the work needed from participants that spans across all four seasons. I also created posters and mailers to inform residents and help them sign up to participate.

❋ Reports & Newsletters
Along with external residential communications, I also helped create internal and external reports for both employees and members of the city council. These reports focus on strong information design though clear iconography and data visualizations.
❋ Flyers & Social Media
Here are other projects I did in collaboration with the Public Works Department to help inform residents of fun events, new installations, and important safety warnings around Cambridge!
